Pyros Battle On Into 2010

After a tough first half of the season, the end of 2009 saw the Pyros with only a draw and 4 losses to show for all their hard work. The small squad, never gave up in any of the matches and have strived to improve on every performance. The Pyros have a lot of inexperience in the team and have been working hard as a team to learn every week and progress every game. Unfortunately, the opening ties saw the team take on injuries which affected the remaining fixtures of 2009.

The Pyros are looking at 2010 as a chance to regain some pride and prove to themselves they have a good team. Their first game back will be on January 31st at home to the Edinburgh Predators. The new Edinburgh team have had a good first season and the Pyros will enjoy the challenge head. Hard work, determination and passion will urge the Pyros to battle through and have a good finish to the season.

The Pyros have teamed up with Glasgow Caledonian university to allow their players to play american football (as they folded last year) and hopefully strengthen the squad.

The Pyros Family are always looking for new players and people willing to get involved with a committed and passionate team. The Pyros have lots of people who help off the pitch, such as sideline assisstants and support crew.
